Dental Talk

The techincal me 

Ok, this is supposed to be about me, so how much about me do you want to know?  Hey, I’m not going into that much detail.   What I will tell you is I was hired off the streets, by a great company in Kalamazoo, Mi. a little over 10 years ago.  They took me under their wings and taught me some basic, basics.  I moved on from there to a quiant little lab in Elizabethton, Tn, of which my leaving burned too many bridges.  You know there aren’t many things I regret in life, but the manner in which I left there, is definitely one of them.  Lesson:  don’t do angry confused stupid shit.  Moved back to Michigan and worked for a larger full service lab in the Flint area, then finally found a resting spot in Livonia, Mi. with a world class techinican.  And Finally my training as a Technician began, my eyes open to the world of Dental stuff.  Material Science, who knew a thing like this ever existed, I didn’t that’s for sure.  I can’t tell you how many days I would go home and my brain would just be mush from all the crap I didn’t know.  She has decided to take her lab in the direction of a learning center, and being downsized I was deadset and determined to start my own lab.  I felt Iknew enough, and I probably did/do.  But one of my piecework accounts decided to make me an offer I couldn’t refuse.  Well I could have, but I chose to go with my gut on this one, and so far it has turned out to be a promising venture.  I currently am teaching at a local community college, and have served as an officer for the MACDL.  I believe strongly in continuing education, because I choose Growth…..

The family me

I am happily married, with a wonderful family. I am 31 with a wonderful wife, Michelle.  Our first, is Carter 3 1/2 ,and our second, Skye 13 months.
